IODJacqueline O’Donovan, managing director of FORS gold operator and London’s leading waste management company, O’Donovan Waste Disposal, has won the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD) Family Business Director of the Year award.

At a glittering ceremony held at the IoD’s headquarters on Pall Mall, Jacqueline O’Donovan was recognised by the judges of the IoD’s London and South East Director of the Year Awards for being a leader in her field and setting the benchmark in terms of best practice across both logistics and waste operations.

EV adoption on the rise among van fleet operators

ev vanAdoption of electric vehicles (EV) among van fleet operators is set to increase over the next two years, according to the findings of new research from GE Capital.

The firm’s latest quarterly Company Van Trends report specified that 34 per cent of fleet operators are looking to increase their fully electric fleets, with a further 29 per cent hoping to use more electric range extender vehicles.

Don’t miss FORS at leading fleet safety events

FORS will be presenting and exhibiting at industry events over the coming months, with a focus on raising professional standards throughout the industry.

Glen Davies, Freight & Fleet Programme Manager, Transport for London will be presenting ‘The role of FORS in protecting pedestrians and cyclists’ at Brake’s annual Fleet Safety Conference on Tuesday 19 May.  Glen will also be speaking at the LAPV Future Fleet Forum on 24 June.
