Budget 2015 – fuel duty and vehicle excise duty (VED)

BudgetThe Chancellor has confirmed the freeze in fuel duty in the 2015 Budget by cancelling the RPI inflation fuel duty increase of 0.54 pence per litre scheduled for 1 September 2015. The freeze in fuel duty announced today will save industry around £64.7 million a year.

Vehicle Excise Duty rates for HGVs and Road User Levy rates will be frozen for one year. From 1 April 2015, VED rates for cars, vans, motorcycles and motorcycle trade licences will increase by RPI
