Dawes Highway Safety supports UK fight against coronavirus with innovative NHS PeoplePanels® safety system

FORS Associate Dawes Highway Safety has been supporting the UK’s fight against coronavirus by using its manufacturing facility to recreate the well-known ‘Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives’ and ‘Thank You NHS’ messages for display on their sideguard safety system.

Known as the PeoplePanel®, the innovative impact-tested flat panel safety system is used to warn cyclists and pedestrians to take extra care near larger vehicles.

Dawes Highway Safety has been able to support the public through increasing awareness of the key messages from the government and the gratitude towards the NHS. These have included ‘Thank you NHS’ rainbow design panels and social distancing stickers.

All profits from NHS PeoplePanel sideguard safety system go towards the NHS.

James Dawes, Managing Director of Dawes Highway Safety, said:

“Our industry, like others, is facing unprecedented times and it’s crucial that we all follow the message to stay at home to prevent the spread of COVID19. Our cycle and pedestrian safety panels are already industry-leading and we have the unique ability to use our existing contacts to put the government’s warning message on the road up and down the country in a very short space of time. This will help deter people from making unnecessary journeys on the road transport network. We are hugely grateful to our key workers who are keeping our country moving, and we are donating 100% of our profits to the NHS for their fight against the pandemic and to help keep our loved ones safe”.
