You can still participate in the Department for Transport (DfT) survey to enhance the evidence base on the use of older tyres. The survey takes around five minutes to complete, with a chance to win one of three £50 Marks and Spencer vouchers.
The DfT is collecting evidence to support its consultation on a proposed ban on tyres aged 10 years and older from certain vehicle types, to improve road safety.
The consultation, which ran from 23 June to 1 September, sought views on whether older tyres should be banned on buses, coaches, lorries, heavy trailers and minibuses as well as whether this ban should be extended to taxis and private hire vehicles. It follows other measures the government has put into place since 2012.
The DfT would like to engage with you to provide further data to enhance the evidence base on the use of older tyres.
