FORS brings ‘FORS Professional’ training to the CV Show

FORS-Logo-Tagline_TransFORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, is taking its FORS Professional brand to the CV Show, to promote the range of training it offers and delivers to members.

The FORS Professional training package supports the scheme’s three core principles of best practice – safety, efficiency and environmental protection – bringing together the full suite of FORS training materials and opportunities.

FORS Professional training provides educational tools for operators, including specific training for drivers and transport managers – and for transport companies regardless of size and make-up. Fully funded for FORS members, FORS Professional offers training courses and eLearning as well as toolkits, guides and other materials to ensure fleets have the best possible access to education and best practice.

Meeting FORS, CLOCS and TfL’s Work Related Road Risk (WRRR) requirements, the suite of training also includes JAUPT-approved driver courses delivered by qualified professionals. Specific FORS practitioner, manager, and driver training courses, including practical cycle safety courses, are available to meet the FORS Standard and drive-up best practice right across the supply chain.

With FORS membership now approaching 4,500 companies, operators who have successfully undertaken FORS training continue to see tangible operational benefits including improved fuel consumption and a reduction in Penalty Charge Notices.

Safety, efficiency and environmental protection are central themes to the scheme, and FORS is now established as the industry’s leading provider of best practice and learning for operators. FORS Director, John Hix, points out, “FORS is the only best practice accreditation scheme which provides such a dedicated and comprehensive portfolio of classroom training and eLearning. With such a comprehensive range of courses on offer,” he said, “we have all the bases covered for any operator, regardless of their size and fleet make-up. FORS Professional training is central to our quest in making best practice an everyday mind-set for all our members.”

The CV Show at the NEC, 25 – 27 April 2017 in Birmingham, remains the road transport industry’s largest and most comprehensive exhibition, attracting over 20,000 visitors a year from the UK and overseas. FORS will occupy a prime position at the show on stand 4G78.
