Free and discounted manager training places still available for July, August and September

Dates are still available to book in July, August and September for free FORS Professional Managing Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AILs), FORS Practitioner Recertification and Time Smart, as well as for discounted Collision Management, Fleet Management Essentials and FORS Practitioner webinars.

FORS Professional Managing Abnormal Indivisible Loads is offered free of charge to FORS members. The course lasts four hours and is designed to equip FORS operators with the knowledge needed to ensure the safe transport of AILs. FORS Professional Practitioner Recertification is offered free of charge to FORS members. The webinar is delivered in two three-hour sessions on the same day, and you must attend both sessions in order to re-qualify as a FORS Practitioner. The webinar is suitable for FORS Practitioners who qualified up to December 2016, therefore whose qualification has already expired, or is expiring by the end of this year. Places are still available for July and October– click here to book your free place(s).

FORS Professional Time Smart – Fatigue Management and Time Smart – Drivers’ Hours Management are offered free of charge to FORS members. Each course lasts six hours, with delivery split over two sessions of three hours each, with a one-hour break in between. Time Smart is aimed at managers and supervisors responsible for planning of driver shifts, monitoring of fatigue and compliance with the drivers’ hours regulations. FORS Professional Collision Management is offered to FORS members at the discounted price of £50 + VAT per person and is delivered in two sessions of two hours each, with a one-hour break. This webinar helps managers to meet the mandatory Road Risk Champion training requirement on road risk management and collision investigation as set out in FORS Standard version 5.1 under Silver requirement ‘S5 Professional development’. FORS Professional Car and Van Fleet Management Essentials is offered to FORS members at the discounted price of £50.00 + VAT per person and is delivered in three and a half hours. The webinar covers driver competence, conduct and condition, vehicle and load safety, and internal fleet quality management procedures. This webinar helps managers to meet the mandatory responsible person training requirement on maintaining continuous and effective management of fleet activities as set out in FORS Standard version 5.1 under Bronze requirement ‘M3 Responsible person’. FORS Professional HGV and PCV Fleet Management Essentials is offered to FORS members at the discounted price of £75.00 + VAT per person and is delivered in two sessions of three hours each, with a one-hour break. The course is designed for fleet management and supervisory staff working to achieve operator licence undertakings, and gives an overview of good fleet management principles, the operator licensing system and the FORS Standard. This webinar helps managers whose Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence is over five years old meet the mandatory responsible person training requirement on maintaining continuous and effective management of fleet activities as set out in FORS Standard version 5.1 under Bronze requirement ‘M3 Responsible person’. FORS Professional Practitioner webinars are offered to FORS members at the discounted rate of £40 + VAT per person per webinar and are delivered in two and a half hours. The webinars can be attended individually and in any order. Attendance counts towards the FORS Practitioner qualification which requires members to complete all 10 FORS Practitioner webinars. Attending the FORS Practitioner webinars helps demonstrate meeting specific elements of the FORS Bronze, Silver and Gold professional development requirements – D4, S5 and G5. Places are still available to book for July, August and September – click here to book your place(s).
