In 2019, Road Risk Champion and Collision Investigator training, as well as Fleet Management Essentials (O Licence) training, will be offered to FORS members at the discounted rate of £130 +VAT per day.
FORS will fully fund 26 FORS Practitioner series, that’s 260 workshops nationwide. Quarter 1 dates have already been released and places are available to book. Quarter 2 dates will be released shortly.
Driver training courses can be booked through FORS Associate training providers licensed to deliver FORS Professional training or whose training is FORS Approved. Organisations can also have their own courses FORS Approved.
Recognising that there is some duplication in the collision management training and to minimise costs to operators, FORS is revising the content of the current Road Risk Champion and Collision Investigator courses so that these two one-day workshops can be delivered in a single day.
FORS Professional Fleet Management Essentials (O Licence) will help operators meet Bronze requirement ‘M3 Responsible person’ of the FORS Standard version 5, whilst Road Risk Champion and Collision Investigator will help operators meet the Road Risk Champion requirement as set out in FORS Standard version 5 Silver requirement ‘S5 Professional development’. Alternatively, this requirement can be met by attending fully funded FORS Practitioner workshop 2 ‘Managing work-related road risk’ and workshop 5 ‘Collision procedures and analysis’. See Annex 2 of FORS Standard version 5 for details.
