Congratulations to Carl Lomas MBE, Chairman of the Institute of Couriers and member of the FORS Governance and Standards Advisory Group, who completed a four-day cycle from London to Paris to raise money for the transport charity Transaid.
The journey began on London’s cycle superhighway with a send-off from Mike Brown, Commissioner at Transport for London (TfL), and Carl crossed the finish line smartly attired in a shirt and tie after being joined by 50 other Transaid cyclists in Paris for the final push. Over the four days 100,000 tweets were sent in support using the hashtag #ioc4transaid and it looks as though an incredible £100,000 will have been raised.
Transaid is an international development organisation focusing on safe, available and sustainable transport. For more information on Transaid, please visit their website.
