We are delighted to announce the 150th FORS Gold operator, Lowery Limited. Based in Reigate, they work in the construction sector, specialising in civil engineering within the rail industry. The company currently have 43 vans and 3 HGVs in their fleet, and they operate within London and the South of England.
Lowery prides itself on the quality of its staff and recognises that this is underpinned by a total commitment to the Health and Safety of its employees, and the public, and a respect for the environment in which it works.
They have been a FORS member since 2012 and achieved their silver accreditation for the first time in March. They have now achieved their Gold accreditation, a testament to the hard work of the whole team and recognition for the effective management of its transport fleet. Improvements to their operation include provision of Safe Urban Driving training courses to their fleet drivers, the addition of advanced telematics within their vehicles and the promotion of efficient and safe driving through publicising driving style league tables.
Lowery are proud of having achieved FORS Gold status. Kevin Griffiths, Compliance and SHEQ Manager said: “This has been the result of a sustained effort in improving our fleet operations. Significant benefits have been noted with regard to fuel efficiency and a reduction in vehicle accidents. This has helped reduced the environmental impact of our fleet while helping to keep our drivers and other road users safe. We have also noted a reduction in our fleet insurance premiums as a result of these improvements.”
