The FORS Counter Terrorism Toolkit is available to download for free from the FORS website to help you meet Bronze requirement ‘O7 Counter terrorism’.
Bronze requirement ‘O7 Counter terrorism’ aims to raise awareness of security and terrorist threats, specifically in terms of theft of vehicles or loads and the use of vehicles as weapons of terrorism. It aims to minimise these risks by ensuring staff are prepared to deal with extremist and terrorist activity.
The toolkit is designed to help you write an effective counter terrorism policy by providing you with all the elements you need to put together a policy and supporting procedures and how to implement them. It also includes a checklist of the key actions you need to undertake to meet Bronze requirement O7.
In addition to the free manager toolkit, a free FORS Professional security and counter-terrorism eLearning module is also available. Designed to support the learner identify terrorism threats, the award-winning FORS Professional Security and Counter Terrorism eLearning module also highlights the importance of vehicle security and the measures that can be introduced to protect drivers and vehicles against hijack, theft and physical attack. The module also offers practical advice on how to report suspicious behaviour or activity. The eLearning module, which must be undertaken by drivers every 24 months in order to satisfy Bronze requirement ‘D4 Professional development’, is also recommended for managers.
