Six organisations participating in LoCity, the industry-led programme to lower emissions, have been nominated for the Low Carbon Champions Awards 2016, organised by the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP), itself a LoCITY Champion.
The awards are designed to recognise those companies making outstanding contributions to the adoption of lower carbon vehicles and fuels, and reducing road transport emissions.
Iveco, John Lewis Partnership, CNG Fuels, Tevva Motors, Gnewt Cargo, and Element Energy are all ‘Champions’ of LoCITY, which aims to stimulate the uptake of ultra low emission commercial vehicles and improve air quality in London. John Lewis Partnership and Gnewt Cargo are both FORS accredited companies, and it is fantastic to see them honoured in this way.
Andy Eastlake, Managing Director at LowCVP, said: “LoCITY is proving to be an excellent initiative and a real focus for low carbon transport activities in London, which the LowCVP is very pleased to support. The Low Carbon Champions shortlist demonstrate how companies are rising to the challenge of operating low emission vehicles successfully both in the city environment such as London and across the UK as a whole.”
The LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Awards 2016 will be presented as the central feature of a networking awards dinner in collaboration with Cenex-LCV16 on Wednesday 14 September 2016 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Milton Keynes.
