Silver and Gold performance data – make sure you list all vehicles in scope of FORS accreditation

Members are reminded to list all vehicles in scope of their FORS accreditation when filling out the progression data report on Silver or Gold applications.

As part of FORS S2 and G2 requirements, operators are required to supply performance data to monitor operational performance and demonstrate meaningful improvements.

At Silver, a minimum of three months’ worth of data is required at initial accreditation, and 12 months at re-approval.

The table below highlights the most common reasons for not passing S2 and/or G2:

Requirement Reason for failure
S2 – Performance data
  • Failure to provide evidence on the performance data sheet for vans when declaring vans and HGVs vehicles
  • Failure to properly display van and HGV data
  • Failure to inform FORS of vehicle increase prior to submission (which also affects the outcome of requirement ‘S6 Vehicle safety equipment’)
G2 – Performance data
  • Failure to provide evidence on the performance data sheet for vans when declaring both HGVs and vans
  • Failure to supply 24 months’ worth of data at initial application

Both Silver and Gold application pages include guidance to help you meet the FORS Standard requirements. Please read the demonstration and guidance carefully so that you understand what evidence is required.

Members can attend the Going for Silver and Gold workshop designed to support progression to FORS Silver and/or Gold, and provides detailed examples of the type of information which must be provided to evidence the Silver and Gold requirements.
