Project Pictogram is a national road safety initiative spearheaded by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, and backed by Road Safety GB. It uses simple diagrams to show drivers how changing bad habits at the wheel can help reduce accidents.
Simple icons are stuck on to the back of commercial vehicles to serve as a reminder to other road users of the ‘Fatal Factors’ present in most Killed or Serious Injury (KSI) collisions.
These Fatal Factors include speed, using a mobile phone, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, not wearing a seatbelt and not keeping to safe stopping distances.
The sticker sets cost around £2.50 per vehicle to produce and are downloadable from free artwork files.
