Are you a qualified FORS Practitioner? Be sure to check it hasn’t expired!

FORS Practitioners whose qualification has expired or is soon to expire are encouraged to attend the forthcoming FORS Practitioner Recertification workshops running in September and October.

The Recertification workshop offers FORS Practitioners an ideal opportunity to refresh their understanding of the FORS Standard and the recent changes contained in version 5. It also provides delegates with informative updates on previous FORS Practitioner workshop subjects, as well as details of the specific evidence needed for FORS Silver and Gold requirements.

Under FORS Gold requirement ‘G5 Professional development’, FORS operators must undertake training in all aspects of fleet management. This means that, at Gold re-approval audit, the Responsible Person, or nominated person, must be a qualified FORS Practitioner. FORS Gold members are encouraged to check that they have the relevant qualified personnel in place and are reminded that the current transitional provision, in place to assist members with the introduction of the new requirement, comes to an end at the end of this year. Any Gold re-approval, applications submitted on or after 1 January 2020 will need to demonstrate that there is a qualified FORS Practitioner in place, with a qualification awarded within the past five years.

When registering to attend the Recertification course, delegates must enter their FORS Practitioner certificate number and original qualification issue date in order to confirm eligibility.

If you have any queries, or would like to know your FORS Practitioner expiry date, please email enquiries@fors-online.org.uk.
