Bronze requirement ‘M1 FORS documentation’ for small operators

Bronze requirement ‘M1 FORS documentation’ for small operators

Did you know that small operators can demonstrate FORS Bronze requirement ‘M1 FORS documentation’ verbally?

Under requirement ‘M1 FORS documentation’, FORS operators must have 17 written policies and procedures in place. However, small operators are able to demonstrate this verbally.

If you are an organisation with fewer than five vehicles AND fewer than five employees, then you are recognised by FORS as a ‘small operator’. This means that, while FORS would encourage you to have written policies and procedures in place, you can demonstrate these verbally to the auditor on the day of your FORS Bronze audit.

We understand it can take time to develop all your policies and procedures, so it is also acceptable to combine written and verbal evidence. However, you must make sure that all your legal documents such as regulatory licences, insurance documents, vehicle maintenance records, etc. are available for review by the auditor on the day of your Bronze audit.
