In addition to the existing allocation of hours for FORS Practitioner workshops, three management courses and five driver courses have been awarded Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK).
CPD is an integral part of FORS membership and this recognition helps ensure an ongoing structured programme of personal development for managers, drivers and other staff employed in the fleet operation.
All FORS Professional courses have been awarded CPD hours, as follows:
|FORS Professional training courses||Allocated CPD hours|
|Safe Urban Driving||6|
|HGV/PCV Fleet Management Essentials||6|
|Car and Van Fleet Management Essentials||6|
|FORS Practitioner workshop x 1||2.5|
CPD is ‘the systematic maintenance and improvement of knowledge, skills and competence throughout a professional’s working life.’ Keeping knowledge and skills up-to-date in today’s fast-changing world of fleet operations is vitally important and also helps meet FORS professional development requirements D4, S5 and G5.
