Brian Weatherley, former Editor-in-Chief of Commercial Motor and Truck & Driver magazines, has been writing and commenting on the road transport industry for over 30 years. Since 2009, as a freelance journalist, he has contributed to a number of magazines in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. He also works as a video presenter, runs a B2B media training company and regularly chairs industry conferences and seminars, including CLOCS progress events. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and an HGV and PSV licence holder.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kevin Richardson<\/strong><\/p>\n Kevin joined The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport as Chief Executive in December 2015. An experienced senior logistics executive with over 35 years\u2019 experience in the industry, he has extensive knowledge in operational and project management across Europe. Kevin is based at the Institute\u2019s Corby headquarters.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Steve Agg<\/strong><\/p>\n Steve moved into mainstream logistics management becoming Distribution Director for Danone. Having spent the last ten years as The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport\u2019s Chief Executive, Steve retired at the end of 2015 but still champions FORS as the Chairman of the Governance and Standards Advisory Group.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n David Wood<\/strong><\/p>\n David has a motor vehicle engineering and training background. He joined DVSA in 2001 as an Enforcement Vehicle Examiner. In 2013, he joined the enforcement policy team as the Roadworthiness Policy Manager. In January 2016, although still managing other aspects of enforcement policy he also became the project lead for DVSA Earned Recognition.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Graham Holder<\/strong><\/p>\n Graham has worked within the transport logistics industry for 27 years. He started as a driver and progressed through to transport management, compliance auditing and conducting transport inspections. Over the past three years, Graham has been heavily involved with FORS, and is now the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Graham Bellman Having worked for a manufacturer, 3PL\/Express Parcels business and now working for Travis Perkins as Group Fleet Director, Graham\u2019s role covers vehicle engineering, compliance, procurement, and the challenge which is operational efficiency. Graham is responsible for one of the UK\u2019s largest own account fleets. It\u2019s a diverse job with 4250 vehicles in 2056 locations, 46 per cent of which have one vehicle – Graham\u2019s day job pulls on all his skills!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gordon Sutherland<\/strong><\/p>\n Gordon started his working life as a postal cadet with Royal Mail in 1983. He went on to undertake logistics management roles across the UK. A new challenge came in 2005, with Transport for London (TfL), where he was given the task of setting up a new reward and recognition scheme for freight operators servicing the City \u2013 FORS was born! After the launch of the London Freight Plan (2007), Gordon left TfL and went into rail logistics, then Crossrail. He joined Tideway in 2013.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Neil Cox\u00a0 Neil started his career as a driver\u2019s mate and then progressed to Class 1 driver six years later. He did various jobs while studying for his CPC and transport degree. Neil started his management career in early 1994 as Transport & Plant Manager for Liverpool City Council Highways department, moving to sustainability followed by seven years as a waste operations manager. Neil then moved to the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, followed by a couple of years at Network Rail before moving to HS2.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gareth Salisbury Gareth heads the Workplace Testing division of D.Tec International Limited. He has spent the last 10 years building up the D.Tec corporate client base of safety critical companies with a unique workplace solution based on the credible roadside deterrent that all 43 police forces are now using effectively. Gareth\u2019s current role includes drafting robust drugs and alcohol policies for companies of all sizes, delivering tailored drugs and alcohol awareness training\/product training courses.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Paul Mountford<\/strong><\/p>\n Paul works in roads policing in Merseyside Police. He spent over 27 years in traffic\/roads policing and spent the last 10 years as the Force Lead for drink and drug driving and was responsible for the introduction of roadside drug testing in Merseyside. Paul\u2019s current role as a Casualty Reduction Officer includes work-related road safety and providing coaching to drivers and managers on drink and drug driving.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Mark Wheel<\/strong><\/p>\n Mark Wheel is a Chartered Civil Engineer with 36 years\u2019 experience in the rail sector. He has spent his career managing railway bridges and structures before moving, earlier this year, to Network Rail\u2019s Safety, Technical and Engineering team in Milton Keynes. Since 2009 Mark has been working to reduce the frequency and impact of road vehicles hitting railway bridges.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Wayne Watling<\/strong><\/p>\n Wayne has spent the past 22 years working with the Metropolitan Police. Prior to this, he worked as a non-commissioned officer with the Royal Military Police. For the past two years he has been the supervisor of the Counter Terrorism Focus Desk (CTFD), working in partnership with Transport for London (TfL). The job involves reaching out to the management and staff of TfL and partner companies to deliver counter terrorism messaging, present a number of corporate and bespoke CT products and increase CT awareness.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jonathon Backhouse<\/strong><\/p>\n Jonathon is the seventh generation of solicitor in a continuous lineage that can be traced back to 1819. Today Jonathon practises regulatory law from the firm\u2019s London base.
