It includes\u00a0full details of\u00a0 the notification periods required for each vehicle and load type, vehicle dimension classifications, and best practice tips on how to successfully plan AIL movement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is this toolkit for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This toolkit is intended primarily for operators, the Police and any agencies involved in the movement of abnormal loads. The information will assist FORS operators manage their operations &#8211; at Bronze, FORS requirement \u2018O5 Specialist operations\u2019 requires operators to conduct specialist operations safely and in accordance with the law to ensure that associated risks are managed to make sure drivers, passengers, and other road users are not endangered.<\/p>\n<p>Operators planning a route in London with an abnormal vehicle load may need to notify the Metropolitan Police and perhaps arrange a police escort.
