FORS throws open doors to industry-leading training – 30% discount now available to non-FORS operators

  • Industry-leading training from FORS now available to all; access to extensive portfolio
  • 30% discount on FORS Practitioner courses for non-FORS accredited operators
  • New LinkedIn network and social media toolkit to help professionals amplify achievements
  • Courses endorsed by CILT and carrying CPD accreditation; aligned to industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • “This isn’t just about compliance, it’s about driving higher levels of competence, professionalism and leadership across the transport sector.” Glen Davies, FORS Technical Advisor

FORS – the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme – is expanding access to its industry-leading FORSPractitioner and FORS Advanced Practitioner training courses, with a 30% discount now available to non-FORS accredited operators.

FORS Professional training, through its Professional portfolio, is widely recognised in the transport sector for helping fleet operators improve safety, sustainability, and performance – regardless of their size or type.

At the FORS Annual Conference, Glen Davies, FORS Technical Advisor, described how the FORSPractitioner programme can benefit professional development.

Endorsed by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), every FORS training course carries CPD accreditation, with each module worth three hours, positioning FORS training as an exemplar of credibility and professional rigour, and ensuring operators at all levels can evidence their learning.

By successfully completing FORS Practitioner training, operators also get access to a new FORSPractitioner LinkedIn network, which provides a digital community for networking and sharing insights. A dedicated social media pack has been created, giving graduates the tools to showcase their achievements and grow professional visibility online. An updated FORS Practitioner training page is also live on FORS-online.org.uk, featuring explainer videos and real-world testimonials. “We’re opening the doors wider than ever,” said Glen Davies, FORS Technical Advisor. “Non-FORSoperators can now claim a 30% discount on all FORS Practitioner modules, creating a clear opportunity to access industry-leading training and strengthen performance in fleet safety, sustainability and operating standards. We’re making a clear invitation to the wider industry. FORS manager training is now accessible to operators who want practical, credible development that improves real-world outcomes. This isn’t just about compliance, it’s about driving higher levels of competence, professionalism and leadership across the transport sector.”

Since taking on the FORS Concession in 2022, Sopra Steria, working collaboratively with delivery partner AtoH, has led a comprehensive training transformation. AtoH delivered a full technical and creative redesign in 2023 while also launching the FORS Advanced Practitioner qualification for professionals seeking deeper expertise.

“Working with our delivery partners, we’ve been able to completely reimagine what professional training in this sector should look like,” said Davies. “The programme has focused on strengthening technical content, improving structure and embedding CILT accreditation across every module, ensuring the training is practical, credible and aligned to the real operational challenges operators face. Feedback from participants clearly demonstrates our approach is already delivering measurable improvements in competence, consistency and performance.”
