Approximately 37,000 abnormal loads enter London on the Transport for London Road Network (the TLRN or London’s ‘red routes’) each year. Given the need to provide new homes, jobs and infrastructure, this is likely to increase. The new FORS Practitioner Managing Abnormal Indivisible Loads training module provides guidance on the rules and regulations governing abnormal loads.

The course covers the legal framework for transporting abnormal loads and both STGO and Special Order Movement notices. This course will also highlight how to notify the enforcement and highway authorities and ensure attendants and escorts are in place.

The course is three-hours in length and counts as one optional module towards the FORS Practitioner qualifications.
