Important update concerning FORS training and audits due to the evolving Coronavirus situation and the latest government guidance – look out for further updates via eNews Special, emails and FORS website.

Training

With the increase in cases of Covid-19 throughout the UK and the health and safety of our FORS members and training staff being our utmost priority, the following applies:

Training up to and including 31 March 2020 – All FORS Professional manager courses are cancelled:

  • All FORS Practitioner workshops (1-10)
  • Going for Bronze
  • Going for Silver/Gold
  • Car and Van Fleet Management Essentials
  • HGV and PCV Fleet Management Essentials
  • Collision Management

Full refunds will be issued over the coming days for discounted training.

Training between 1 April 2020 and 30 April 2020
FORS Professional manager courses will not be delivered as face-to-face training during April, therefore please cancel any travel arrangements you may have made to attend these courses. We are working on the development of alternative remote delivery methods where possible and will advise members soon with more information. Arrangements for the delivery of training from May 2020 onwards will be reviewed according to ongoing developments.

Evidencing training at audit
For those whose training has been cancelled, please state at audit that FORS cancelled the training and state which course you were booked on. Where the training is mandatory for your level of accreditation, you will need to undertake the remote training once launched and will be able to evidence this at the following audit.

FORS Approved and FORS Professional driver training delivered by a range of training providers

We advise that you check with your training provider whether or not the training is going ahead.

Auditing

The following applies for FORS Bronze audits:

Great Britain and Northern Ireland

The delivery of FORS audits in Great Britain and Northern Ireland will continue. However, your company policy/instructions may dictate that site visits are not permitted. Where this is the case and you have a Bronze site audit  booked up to and including 25 March 2020 and you wish to cancel it because of the prevailing Coronavirus situation, the cancellation fee will be waived.

If you have an audit booked after this date, and you wish to cancel it because of the prevailing Coronavirus situation, please ensure you cancel/reschedule in plenty of time and in line with the FORS cancellation policy, otherwise the usual cancellation charge will apply.

If your accreditation expiry date is before 30 April 2020, and you have not yet booked your audit, and you are unable to have an audit because of the prevailing Coronavirus situation please email [email protected].

In all of the above cases we will not downgrade your organisation and your accreditation will remain valid. FORS will monitor developments and arrangements for deferred audits will be decided depending on how the current situation develops.

Audits in other countries
Audits outside of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will not be undertaken due to local travel restrictions.

Accreditation expiry dates
If you cancel your audit due to the current Coronavirus situation, you must also email the FORS Helpline [email protected] so that we can review and manage your accreditation end date.

Following government guidelines in relation to Coronavirus and home working, we are unable to take calls. However, the team is available via email from Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5pm so please email us your query on [email protected] and we will either call or email you back.
